i have say the way you finished your first marathon is alot the way I felt when I finished mine. I never hit the wall and I felt so amazing when I finished. I have five others and trust me, they are not all that way. I ran Boston this year and loved it. Had a terrible race but loved everything else. I am shooting for another qualifying time so I can redeem myself. I just moved here to Ky two months ago from Utah, so my running routine has been non-existent. I am working on getting it back.

THanks for stopping by and commenting on the post. You are a runner because you have the heart of a runner regardless of which activity you are doing now. Take care of yourself and sneak a few mindless runs in there when you have a chance.

Zanne,

In honor of being such a great mom and runner, I have added your blog to our featured blog section on the home page this week. I know running has been tough - but you are still an inspiration to me.

Tom finished! He was hot, but doing fine. Of course he was concerned about the runners who didn't have a chance to finish or were hurting.

Oh my word! The mice in the stove story made me laugh and feel a little less creeped out by Miguelito! Haha! I guess that is a good way to get a new stove. Ewww.

Hi Suzanne. Thanks for joining the Lounge. The way you describe your first marathon is the way we all want to finish. Wow! I also like your description of how you've become a person you never thought you could be through running--very well stated. I hope you make some great connections and find and contribute some useful content here on Runners' Lounge. Thanks. Tom
