Best of luck in Vancouver next weekend!

Just checking in - hope all is going well! Did you have a chance to watch Boston this week? It always inspires me to try harder and I know it is one of your goals.

Steve,
How is your training going? Hope you're having better running weather than we are, very cold, very snowy, gah, it's hard to get my butt out the door!
Let me know what you're up to....

Good for you - did you join the running room. They seems to pretty much be everywhere and they do have some good clinics. I'll be running with them for my Marathon training.

Check out the ING Ottawa website, I actually got some information mailed to me today as I'm already registered for the Marathon.

Best wishes,
Laurel

Hi Steve,

Good for you to be so proactive! If you're looking for a great race, ING Ottawa Race Weekend is really good! Last year I ran the half and this year my goal is for the Marathon. The race route is really nice, with lots of sideline activity and the scenery is fantastic.

I just came back from the Rock n Roll Phoenix and that was a really good race too!

I run on my own too, but really have a blast when a group of us get together.

Good luck with your training!

Laurel

Hi Steve, as you probably know, my husband and I ran Medoc last year and absolutely LOVED it! If you have any questions about it, feel free to contact me. I've also heard great things about Vancouver; are you going to try to BQ there? My first (and hopefully only!) attempt will be this June at the North Olympic Discovery Marathon. If I don't qualify there I'll probably try the Royal Victoria Marathon.)

Thank you for your welcome, Amy. My next out of town race is in Vancouver, but I would particularly love to run Safaricom, Medoc, and Comrades. I have a fair bit of saving to do before then!

Welcome to the Lounge Steven! The wonderful thing about running is it is enjoyable when by yourself or with friends. Where do you think you will travel first for your next race?
