That is great to hear Jeremy! How many do you need? Any chance you and/or your kids are coming to Drake Relays this weekend?

This was a tough winter for sickness. So many (normally)healthy people I have spoken with have had a bout with something tough. I hope you are running strong soon. Enjoy those 8th graders - I bet they are a treat to watch run!

How is your running going? How is the track team? Coaching anything this spring? Any upcoming marathons?

I haven't logged into the Runner's Lounge in several days so hadn't seen your last couple of posts on my profile page. Not ignoring it. I've been a follower of Christ for about 44 years. My desire is that everything that I do and say will point to Christ and not me. My wife and I have served as missionaries for the last 21.5 years.

Jeremy -- your username caught my attention. What's the story behind it?

Congratulations, Jeremy, on your great accomplishment! First marathons can be mountaintop experiences. Sounds like yours was just that. Many of us tend to start out to fast, but it's a lesson we can learn from. Keep up your great running--after you recover from this marathon.

Welcome to the Lounge Jeremy! I think we met at the Expo and you told us your story about your cross country team - it stuck with us. We hoped you did well at the race - 3:35 is fantastic, althought I remember you were aiming for 3:30. Way to go Jeremy!

I just finished my very first marathon. It was such a great experience. I hope to continue to run marathons from here on out. I now have the experience of running one I hope to get smarter, when the racing line is in front of me again.
