I'm a rookie runner...but, I think I'm in it for the long haul. I'm a mom of 3 and I have watched my oldest daughter run Cross Country for Pinckney High School for 3 years. I was inspired to start running after I watched her and her XC friends "do" the Run Thru H*ll- and commented that I should try running. Plus, I love the tshirts! So, between the inspiration of my daughter and the love of basic tshirts with cool graphics---I'm in!
I work as an ICU nurse in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit--been doing that for centuries! Running really helps reduce my stress level and my confidence, too! I'm an amatuer webpage designer, photographer and I love to read...and now--run!
Despite a hip injury, I did the Run thru Hell and earned the tshirt! Nearly everything about the race was fun and positive! I met up with an old friend of mine and her neighbor and when you are with Deb, there is always laughing! So, the company was awesome! I walked part of the course per my sports med doctors recommendation and was slower than my first 5K race in June, but, I'm OK with that! My daughter, who did the 10 miler even came and gave me a hug! (for you who have gone thru the teenage years you'll know what a treat that is!) So, all in all, it was a good day to run in Hell! And--I didn't have to stay there!
I'm looking to do the Big Heart House in Ann Arbor in late September---and, I'd like to invite everyone to that!
