I see that you have "Marathon" as one of your Connect With Me categories. Great news! We have added a few new articles to the Marathon category in the Know How section (go to Build, Use, Share Know How > Race Distances > Marathons). The articles are great marathon tips and advice compiled from Loungers.

What's new Rick! Sorry for the late reply...I'm crazed at work right now.

Anyhow, I think it's WAY cool to have access to the many trails in your area. How could you ever grow tired/bored?

I see your doing the Timberline Marathon next Saturday..is this your first attempt here? Good Luck! I'm envious!!

Hey Rick! First let me say that I'm no where near your caliper of running. I've only discovered trail running this past December while running at a local park (Bull Run). They host a 50-miler named The Bull Run Run (http://www.vhtrc.org/brr/) that I hope to participate in sometime. Still have many miles of training though...

After doing some homework I found that there is also the W&OD trail (http://www.wodfriends.org/) that is 45 miles of mainly asphalt. Not much in the way of back-country wilderness but it'a far enough away rom mankind that it's worth the adventure. There is also the Manassas Battlefield (http://www.nps.gov/mana/) that I have yet to check out.

Like I said...I'm no where near your caliper but anxious to learn.

Looking forward to picking your brain and following along with your marathons.

Welcome to the Lounge! You have some awesome goals! One look at your blog and goals and it was an easy decision to add your blog as a featured one on the home page and add you as a runner others should get to know.
