We were really lucky through this flooding. My house stayed dry and at least for a little while longer I am the proud owner of lakefront property instead of being surrounded by cornfields. Getting to work yesterday, downtown, was finally easier - I think this week will be better. Now if my running trails would dry up - life would be good. All five trails are still under water and some won't be back for a long time - they were washed away.

Happy Fathers Day! I hope you had the gift of time for a run and also time with your family.

Congrats on Boston! That is awesome! Maybe next year I can join you! I am still qualified! It is amazing what running can do to you in a short time let alone 5 years!

18 miles so soon after Boston? You're the man!!

Bill,

You've made great progress in the short time you've been running - great work! I didn't know it at the time, but you were chasing me down hard at last year's Richmond Marathon. I finished about a minute in front of you, but at the 20 mile mark I was five minutes ahead. You must have been finishing like a train!

Sub 2:50 is still my goal, but my best marathon may already be behind me. We'll see, I'll keep trying.

Bill,

You crack me up! Thank you for the birtday wishes and the subtle hint of who may have been spreading the awful rumor about me getting older. Humpf - I don't age - I am still a wonderful 28.

I am very excited about our number for April - we are going to burn up that course!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Bill, you rocked the course! Way to go out there and get that sub-3 marathon you have been training so hard for. I can't wait to read your race report.

Bill rocked at his marathon at Richmond today running 2:58:20! What a fabulous marathon! He ran perfect even splits: 2 x 1:29:10. Bill, we can't wait to read your race report! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Only 3 days to go (as you very well know)! Just want to wish you luck at Richmond. Can't wait to read your report about running a sub-3 :) Looks like excellent running weather to make that happen. Safe travels and have fun!

My son, Aidan, is 2 and hates riding in the jogging stroller...he always says "I want to run Mommy"...I guess that is a good thing! It's awesome to have your own little cheering section!
