I am a student going into my last semester at Luther College. I will graduate in the spring with an elementary education degree. I love to travel (I am going to Ghana in January)!

I just recently ran my first marathon on my 22nd birthday (Chicago). Although it was very frustrating at times, I am glad I was able to finally finish after a grueling 4 hours 44 minutes and 33 seconds. At least I was running it for a good cause - I helped raise around $2,700 for the American Cancer Society.
After I crossed the finish line, I yelled at my mom and sister "Don't ever make me do one of those again!" I am now looking forward to my 2nd marathon. I am going to be running Grandma's Marathon in June (Duluth, MN). Hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative so I am able to experience what a real marathon is supposed to feel like.
