Well, I ran in High School and and College, but I was a sprinter...and it was just a few years ago. I did run Dam 2 Dam my senior year to see if I could run long distance.
A few years ago I decided to try running again with a goal of running 5k's and maybe a 10k. I accomplished both and made the decision to try for something longer.
Two years ago I did Dam 2 Dam for the first time since my High School days. It is safe to say I was no where near my HS pace, but I finished.
This last summer I had a 1/2 marathon in mind, but half way through my training I injured my back at work. During my road to recovery I started to suffer from plantar faciatis(sp?) in my right foot (probably due to running with my back injury).
After being fitted with orthotics I am trying to make a comeback to running, currently running on a treadmill.
I am hoping to make it back to the streets as the season begins to warm up. Any hints on training with PF would be appreciated.
