I see that you have "Marathon" as one of your Connect With Me categories. Great news! We have added a few new articles to the Marathon category in the Know How section (go to Build, Use, Share Know How > Race Distances > Marathons). The articles are great marathon tips and advice compiled from Loungers.

Just a quick note to let you know last week in the Lounge, our topic was "Care and Feeding of your Feet". We had many Loungers submit posts on the topic that may be of interest to you as you "Injury and Recovery" as one of your "Connect With Me" categories. Many of the posts comment on keeping running feet healthy and happy. You can find the article under the Know How section>Staying Healthy. Hi,

I see that you have "Nutrition & Hydration" listed as a topic you would like to learn more about/connect with others. In case you haven't had the chance to check in, last week in Lounge was "Gimme Food" week and we added new articles in the KNOW HOW section to both the "Nutrition & Hydration" as well as the "Recipes & Food" sections.

Ryan,

I decided to take this out of the "Favorite Running Route" thread, because no one else would be interested.

Where did you go to high school? Osky, or North Mahaska? I'm afraid we wouldn't have overlapped. I graduated from Pella High in 1982, at which time you were but a toddler.

The next time I'm planning to be in Pella is around the first week in August. I don't suppose that you'll be around then, but if not, I'll look to the east and salute you.

I have an old Garmin 201 that I haven't been really satisfied with. Occasionally, it goes WAY off. Like three-minute-miles off. I don't know if the new ones are better, or if I just have poor satellite exposure in my hilly little town in SW Wisconsin.

Welcome to the Lounge! Can I tell you that I am completely impressed with your half marathon time?

Hi Ryan. Welcome to the Lounge!

Heavy or light isn't as important as the fact that you're a runner.

Good luck with your marathon training. You'll find helpful information and encouraging runners here.

We're glad you're here!

Hey Ryan! I'm happy to add you as a friend. You can never have enough friends. Your story is interesting. For a big guy you run fast. I'll bet you turn a lot of heads as you wiz by. Hang in there and I look forward to talking to you.
