A few years ago I was an "on again, off again" runner. I was doing it to lose/maintain my weight. Then I injured my left calf muscle (strain? sprain? pull? I don't know, it just hurt!). I was afraid of gaining back weight, so I switched to road cycling and became obsessed with it. In 2007, I got back to running and split the time between my bike and my running shoes. Since late fall, I've been running exclusively, tranferring my cycling obsession to running!
I also love hiking and camping, trail running, playing guitar and, of course, spending time with my family.
Completed my first 1/2 marathon in 2007 and look forward to another in 2008. I'm thinking strongly about training for the Detroit Marathon in October. Currently, my goal is to run 30 miles a week. Through December 2007 it was closer to 40, but I don't have the time to sustain that!
