Homeschooling mom of two boys (and in the home stretch! Woohoo!) who also works from home. Sweet hubby and I completed our first ultra last year (the JFK 50) and are hoping to complete two this year along with some halfs and a couple marathons. I LOVE the vLSDs (very long slow distances) although kid schedules and life itself sometimes limit how long they really can be.
The lessons I've learned from running so encourage me in this thing called life. How to persevere, how to endure, how to simply continue running. Last year's ultra taught me how to rest and eat while continuing to run. Some very interesting life lessons there, too.
Entered to run the HAT 50K in Maryland in March, the Cherry Blossom 10 miler in DC in April, the Frederick Marathon in May. Planning several other races later in the year including the Rock n Roll Half in VA Beach Labor Day weekend as well as the JFK 50 again in November.
