I'm doing a 10K this weekend will let you know how it goes. I might have to slow down after 5/20 I'm due to have a lump removed from my breast and will have to recover doc. says if all goes well I could run in 2 weeks I don't know if I will last that long.

Sounds like your last run was a good one - I miss your Arizona. The few days I spent there in March was glorious!

My plans have changed a little, but I hope to have about 6 hours on this Sunday when I am enjoying beautiful Scotsdale AZ before the conference. My husband is coming along too. Any recommendations on how to make the most of Scotsdale (park, trail etc) - we like to bike, hike, wander, nap - whatever.

I hope to be there the afternoon of the 8th, and all of the 9th. I am in a conference all day on teh 10th and 11th, but may have time in the evening and then the morning of the 12th.

Hi Pat,

I am heading to Scotsdale in March - any chance you know any good trails to run?

Hi Pat! Your 5K group is a great idea. A couple ideas on how to promote it - talk about it on your blog, invite members to join (you have that power being the moderator of the group!), and I will post a note on the front page of the Lounge for early next week.

BTW - can we race anytime during the week - I usually do my 5K runs somewhere mid week? And, is it ok if I am slow? :}

Hi Pat, welcome to the Lounge. Glad you're here. Hope you're excited about your marathon training. It will be a great experience.

Welcome to the challenge! It is hard to lose weight while marathon training. I gained about 10lbs. All those miles made me so hungry all the time.
