I'm a 37 year old, married, working mom of 2, and started running in 2006 to lose weight (since February 2007 I've lost 55 pounds). Running *was* a means to an end--a quicker way to get the weight off. Now, I want to lose the rest of the weight so I can run farther and faster. Running is my "me" time, which, as any parent knows, can be hard to come by. I'm quickly becoming addicted to this way of life.
