I started running in hopes of doing a Triathlon some day. I started running In October of 1998 and with a ton of encouragement from Amy and Tom I ran my first marathon in Chicago 3:48:38. I never did run a triathlon until this year I ran the Des Moines Hy Vee Triathlon.

Most of my running takes place on the south side of Des Moines in a very hilly neighborhood where it gives me opportunity for good hill training. I also enjoy running downtown and at Gray’s lake.

I joined this site in hopes of meeting fellow runners and maybe finding a group to do a run or two with.

To run a sub 3 hour marathon.
