Amy -- What's up with the Runners Lounge? I thought maybe y'all were just taking a break over the holidays but it's been quiet a lot longer than that.

HI Amy- I am wondering if there is any word from HCI Publishers on the submissions sent in for possible use in their new book?  I haven't heard from them as far as I know-not that I am expecting to be selected-just curious!

thanks,
Marcia

Thanks for the Welcome Note! I always thought you had to be a runner from the get go but I'm finding that more and more people are getting into it at whatever age so I don't feel so behind. I've been told before I don't have the "build" of a runner. (Yeah, whatever that is) Of course this is coming from "non-runners". I say if you get out and do it then you're a runner, whatever your size, shape, age or athletic ability is.  It's fun to find a community that really "gets" me.

I think you're quite aware of my feelings of the name of the half marathon trisko.  I won't be able to join the podcast, though, because the boys and I will be on vacation.  Please share my comments!

Hi Amy, thanks for your kind message.  First of all, you can totally put my blood-donation post into Runners' Lounge archives.  Second of all, I think I am going to take your advice and dabble with some tris soon, although first, I must learn how to swim.  That will be my main agenda after this marathon training season is over!  Thanks.
