I am on a quest to NOT lose my summertime/fall running fitness! I ran a half marathon in October and now I would like to stay in half mary shape for spring - without starting over or abandoning my running this winter. Now, I say this every year but rarely do I follow through and so I usually find myself in mid January with very few miles in the last few months and carrying a few more holiday pounds.
To counteract this nasty cycle, I have chosen a spring half marathon and have vowed to run at least one 10 mile run every month and a minimum of 6 miles every week.
Join me in the fun of staying in or getting closer to half mary shape for the spring! All you need to do is drop by the forum and share your goal (preferrably a late winter/early spring marathon) and how you will make sure you are ready for it.
